This advisory circular (AC) describes conditions under which the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) may impose a temporary flight restriction (TFR). This AC explalins which FAA elements have been authorized, by the Administrator, to issue TFR's and lists the agencies/offices from which the FAA will accept requests to establish TFR's. Examples of Notices to Airmen (NOTAM's) for each type of TFR are also provided.
