Abstract:This Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the project selection
document for federally funded projects. Project priorities are indicated by the
year the project is programmed. This TIP is a multi-year, multi-agency listing
of transportation improvements for the Yuma County portion of the
Yuma Metropolitan Organization's area covering a period of five years, 1996
through 2000. This TIP attempts to contain all transportation projects
including Bureau of Indian Affairs reservations, regardless of funding source,
in order to provide officials and citizenry with one document for reviewing
upcoming projects. Funding for planning assistance and emergency relief
transportation improvement projects may also be included in the TIP. These
projects are considered essential to the performance of the countywide
transportation system and are necessary to reestablish an element to the system
damaged by recent flooding of the Gila River. The projects in this 1996-2000
TIP are consistent with the 1990-2010 Countywide Transportation Plan, adopted
November 30, 1989, and the Transportation Policy Framework of goals, objectives
and polices, adopted December 29, 1992. 42p.
