Abstract:The objectives of the audit were to determine whether the Airport Certification
Program effectively and efficiently uses its resources to ensure airport safety
and whether there is an effective followup system, including adequate
enforcement actions, to ensure deficiencies are corrected. The audit was
conducted between April 1996 and January 1997.
