Abstract:

The objectives of the audit were to determine whether the Airport Certification Program effectively and efficiently uses its resources to ensure airport safety and whether there is an effective follow-up system, including adequate enforcement actions, to ensure deficiencies are corrected. The audit was conducted between April 1996 and January 1997.
