Abstract:Since 1992 the CNG trash trucks have accumulated more than 60,000 miles in
regular service in the New York City fleet. Overall, their performance has been
excellent. The Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) at the Department of
Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has been accumulating
refueling and maintenance data on these trucks since October 1992. As of
September 1995, more than 2000 refueling records and hundreds of repair records
have been collected and studied. 8p.
