A field investigation of the current transportation infrastructure and operations at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area by the inter-agency Transportation Assistance Group (TAG) was conducted December 4-8, 2006, on behalf of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and local stakeholders. This TAG report was prepared subsequent to the site visit and documents the conditions observed, transportation issues and considerations, and recommendations arising from the TAG team’s analysis. The site visit and the preparation of this report were facilitated and funded by the Alternative Transportation in Parks and Public Lands (ATPPL) program, administered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in coordination with the Department of the Interior (DOI).
