Abstract:
This report describes the software that was developed to process test waveforms that were recorded by crash test data acquisition systems. The test waveforms are generated by an electronic waveform generator developed by MGA Research Corporation under contract to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This waveform generator provides precise, repeatable signals designed to test the performance characteristics (amplitude and timing accuracy, and frequency response) of a data acquisition system. The waveform characteristics, processing algorithms, and instructions for use of the software are described in this report. Complete source listings are provided.
