The bikeshare layer shows the location of all bikeshare docking stations, along with their address if known and the city and state it is located in. Prior to April 30, 2025, this bikeshare layer reflected the bikeshare stations available for the latest Intermodal Passenger Connectivity Database (IPCD) data collection along with intermodal passenger connectivity information. To provide this timelier snapshot of bikeshare stations, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics is no longer including connectivity information. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: BTS compiled the bikeshare stations from GBFS data feeds, where available, using Python and where not available, manually pulling latitude and longitude information from the maps on the websites of the systems. 2. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: The shapefile data can be opened with Esri ArcGIS and any GIS software package.
