      <procstep>
        <procdesc>Using a customized GIS tool, a point was placed where the NTAD 100K rail network dataset intersected NTAD's hydrolin (polygon) and waterway (polylin) datasets (when the rail lines crossed the hydroline dataset, two points were created). Each point(s) was then reviewed individually by an analyst, and there was the ability to accept, reject, or have someone else look at the point. If the point was accepted, that point would then be placed in a point shapefile (when there were two points and after it had been accepted, another point was added in the middle of the two originally points). Specific attribute data from the 100K rail line and the hydrolin/waterway datasets were then populated into the new rail bridge shapefile.</procdesc>
