TYPE OF GIS DATABASE

Straight-line database with nodes and links (no geometric
     shape points)

FILES/SIZE/NUMBER OF RECORDS

     Two ASCII files

     1) pipe_cr.lin link file contains link and node
attributes and node locations for crude
                         oil pipe network.
     2) pipe_pr.lin link file contains link and node
                         attributes and node locations for
                         petroleum products pipe network.

FILE STRUCTURE

The files are ASCII-comma delimited. Character field is not
enclosed in quotation marks. The same file structure is used for
both crude oil and petroleum products.

DISCUSSION

This information was compiled in 1989 and only the terminal
locations are geo-coded. Plans are currently underway to
produce a completely new pipeline network.

See source document for additional discussion.
