Sorting Data

To sort a data table:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • On the Format menu, click Sort.

      - or -

    • Click the Sort current grid button on the toolbar.

      The Sort dialog box appears.

  2. Use the Sort By drop-down list box to select the column you want to use to sort the data table rows.

  3. By default, CFS 2002 automatically sorts in ascending order. To sort in descending order, click the Descending radio button.

  4. To sort by an additional column, use the Then By drop-down list box to select the column you want to use to sort the data table rows.

  5. By default, CFS 2002 automatically sorts in ascending order. To sort in descending order, click the Descending radio button.

  6. To sort by an additional column, use the Then By drop-down list box to select the column you want to use to sort the data table rows.

  7. By default, CFS 2002 automatically sorts in ascending order. To sort in descending order, click the Descending radio button.

  8. Click the OK button. The Sort dialog box closes. The CFS 2002 sorts the data as specified.


To return to the data table's default display:
  1. Do one of the following:

    • On the Format menu, click Sort.

      - or -

    • Click the Sort current grid button on the toolbar.

      The Sort dialog box appears.

  2. Click the Original Sort button. The Sort dialog box closes. The CFS 2002 returns the sort order to that of the original data file.
