Saving Custom Data Tables

After you have created a custom data table, you may want to save it for future reference. You can save (export) a data table for use in another application by saving the table in a different file format. CFS 2002 supports nine file formats for exporting data tables. These formats are: Delimited Text (.txt); Comma Separated Value (.csv), Jet Engine MDB (.mdb), DBase files (.dbf), Microsoft Excel® (.xls); Lotus® (.WK1), Quattro Files (.wb1), HTML (.htm), and XML (.xml).

To save a custom data table:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Select the Save As... menu item from the File menu

      - or -

    • Click the Save current grid button on the toolbar.

  3. In the File name box, type a name for the data table's file.

  4. To save the data table in a different file format (for use in another application), click the Save as type arrow, and then select the file format in which you want to save the data table.
