About
CFS 2002
CFS 2002
is the CD version of the Census Bureau's 2002 Commodity Flow Survey results.
Windows Compatibility
CFS 2002 takes full advantage of the Windows Operating System. This allows
you to multi-task your searches and other activities. You can "point and
click" with a mouse to navigate quickly among windows, data fields and
commands. With CFS 2002 you can put your effort into gathering and analyzing
the information you need rather than into a long trek through the interface.
Commercial Database Capabilities
CFS 2002 looks and functions much like many commercially available database
programs because it:
-
presents structured data in a tabular spreadsheet form (rows, columns,
fields)
-
offers predefined tables with appropriate fields, making it possible
for you to reuse a query or report to display or print information
-
allows customized layout, appearance changes, and field effects,
so you can
-
change fonts, turn grid lines on/off, customize report titles
-
manipulate columns – move, resize, create/insert, freeze, hide
-
auto-number rows
-
sort, both ascending and descending, based on one to three data table
columns
-
use alphanumeric data and file search
-
query to extract the specific type of data you want
-
choose criteria for the data extracted
-
define search rules so as to require that field entries fall into
certain user-defined numeric ranges
-
collect fields from the records that match criteria you specify
-
export data, either raw or filtered, for use in other software
The listed features provide obvious benefits in detailed access to the data.
Being able to design the form of data presentation improves your efficiency
and analytical accuracy. Sorting the data allows you to find the records
you want quickly when you print reports drawn from or query the database.
