Abstract:The Department of Transportation Performance Plan is a companion piece to the DOT Strategic Plan and to the DOT Fiscal Year 1999 Budget
Request. The Performance Plan defines those performance indicators and goals that will be used to mark progress towards the strategic goals found in the DOT Strategic Plan. By linking these goals to the budget, it describes one fiscal year?s effort within DOT and shows how this effort fits into the long-range plan for the Department and the U.S. transportation system. Actual performance against the goals in this plan will be measured, evaluated, and made public in the annual Department of Transportation Performance Report to follow the fiscal year.
