Abstract:

General Facts: 1,026 persons were killed, a 6.76 percent increase from 2006. 68,822 persons were injured, a 6.17 percent decrease from 2006. 145,405 traffic crashes were reported, a 4.14 percent decrease from 2006. There were 5,436,825 licensed drivers, a 0.78 percent increase from 2006. There were 82,077,185,000 estimated vehicle miles traveled, a 1.21 percent increase from 2006. There were 7,500,308 registered vehicles, a 1.55 percent increase from 2006
